Keep Going? Why Not!?

I just wanted to document the fact that Jack had the most AWESOME day EVER today! I don't know what got into him. I mean he is always a great (very hyper, energetic, full of life, sometimes impulsive, etc, etc) little guy. He had a rough drop off this morning at school, I assume because he was off for 10 days. When I picked him up his teacher told me that she was impressed with his vocabulary. Then she gave me an example. She said that she was telling the class they were being rude, and that Jack said to her, "Yeah. They are interrupting you." She was impressed that he used the word properly. She also said he was so well-behaved today (yayyyyy), which absolutely makes my day. He never rarely gets bad reports, but I just love the positive and specific comments!

When we got to the van I told him I was going to text Daddy and tell him what Ms. Baker had said and I said, "I just love the compliments, Jack!" And he said, "I love papa-mints too. What's a papa-mint, mom?" lol

Then...when we got to baseball practice tonight, he was much more focused than usual. The coach even said, "Wow! I haven't seen you play in the dirt at all tonight, Jack!" And "I love your focus tonight, Jack!" Granted, I did catch him filling his hat with dirt then putting it on his head at one point.

My intentions were for her to remain in the stroller, but as you can see above...didn't happen.

Here is a video of Erin cheering for big bro. It cracks me up because 9 times out of 10, she calls him "Jacky", which she totally came up with on her own.

Day 47: Easter

This was taken last night. Poor Erin has been coughing badly at night. I got her out of bed and had her sleep with us last night.



We brought Mimi, Papa, and Court back to the airport today. Lots of fun was had this week! I don't think Papa, Jack, or Grace came in the house much. They played outside and at the park all day most of the days. Poor Aunt Court came down with the flu yesterday. Here's to a speedy recovery for her, and no germs shared!!!

We headed to Venice in the afternoon. We had a delicious dinner. The kids were spoiled with more Easter baskets. I can say with 100% certainty that they consumed more candy and sweets today than they did on Halloween...by far. They were sustained by a steady stream of Pezz and Reese eggs today! Then we spent part of Easter in the pool at Grandma and Grandpa's! The weather was beautiful.

Day 40+6: Easter Festivities

We went to The Church at South Lake's annual "Hunt for Easter" event this morning. We went last year too (link). They have a pancake breakfast, singing and dancing for the kids, then an egg hunt. It was lots of fun for everyone!!

Grace enjoyed the dancing part! I've noticed she will do all kinds of singing and dancing until she realizes someone is watching her. Then she stops and tries to play it off like she wasn't doing anything.

We headed to Downtown Disney to enjoy the weather and also have lunch at T Rex.





















The Easter bunny will hopefully enjoy his carrots that the kids left out for him.

Day 40+5: FUN

We had fun today. We hung out at home, shopped, and got to see our good friends, the Fulmers. The day went by with lightning speed!

Day 40+4: Guest Blogger

A video of the 3rd (not her age- She's had 3 cakes!) birthday cake for Grace!

Hello friends! Courtney here, as the guest blogger for "One Sweet World".
We thought it would be fun to have a guest writer while we are here for vacation, so I happily volunteered!! Today was a good day!! We started the afternoon w a bike ride/walk around the neighborhood. We also celebrated Grace Elizabeth's third birthday by decorating a pretty impressive Hello Kitty birthday cake! It was a joint effort by myself, Mel, and Colin:) She was showered w plenty of gifts and cards as well. She won't need any tutus, makeup, jewelry or nail polish for a little while anyway.



Everyone enjoyed the funfetti cake, including baby Erin who refused dinner and just opted for the sweets. She passed up carrots and chicken for cake.
