Happy Birthday, Grace Elizabeth!!!

Happy 5th birthday, Gracie girl! You're the sweetest, silliest, most beautiful, loving, little fashionista girl! There are no words to describe how blessed we are to get to be your parents. I cannot believe how big you are getting, but you'll always be a baby to me. We love you!

What gift would you like for your birthday this year? uh, I want a little plastic-like Frozen cup.

What else? A little, like pouch. And on the front of it I want Elsa on it. 
What makes you really happy? uh hugs and kisses!

What makes you feel proud? I'm so proud of myself when I practice writing my name.

What makes you feel scared? uh, when it's so dark in my room I'm afraid.

What makes you feel excited? People giving me presents.

What makes you feel sad? When I have a bug bite.

What are you really good at? Um, I can draw my whole family and write their names. 

What else would you like to say? Nothing else.

Day at Disney

Here I am, 18 days later...

Poor Grace came home from school Thursday and spiked a 104 fever. She was feeling awful, and Jack was the sweetest!! He got a movie on the TV, covered her up, took her shoes and socks off, got her some books, rubbed, her, etc. All on his own! Such a sweet big brother. 

He made her this drawing to try to cheer her up. He watched many YouTube tutorials on how to draw Rainbow Dash, but ended up just doing it on his own because he was getting so frustrated. 

Grace's 5th birthday cake, which the theme this year is obviously My Little Pony.

I wanted to write about Grace's birthday Disney day yesterday. She had been home from school on Friday with a fever and cough, so I was thinking maybe we would have to reschedule for next month. She was still feeling pretty lousy on Friday night, so I told her we could just wait and decide if we want to go when she wakes up. I had set my alarm for 5:30 so we could arrive when the park opened, but then I shut it off. Well, I woke up at 5:00 on the dot to a little girl whispering in my ear, "Can we go to Disney World now?" So off we went!

We went to Magic Kingdom first, and we started out in FantasyLand. We did The Little Mermaid, Peter Pan, it's a small world, Mine Train, Winnie the Pooh, the Barnstormer, then we went and camped out on Main Street to watch the parade at noon. After that, all she could talk about was riding more roller coasters. So we headed back to FrontierLand and rode Thunder Mountain. She really wanted to ride Splash Mountain, but the line was 80 minutes long, and we had already waited in one line for over an hour and a couple overs for 30-40 minutes. I got on my phone and got the only fast pass time available for Splash Mountain, which was 9:30. I knew we most likely wouldn't use it.

So apparently, Grace is a dare devil! She absolutely loved the fast and jerky roller coasters, which I used to, too. However, apparently my old age is catching up with me. I was nauseous on every single one!!! This video cracks me up!

After Thunder Mountain, we stopped and got a snack. Then we went into the Confectionary, and Grace picked out a treat - a Mickey cake pop.

Then we got on the ferry and headed to the car so we could go to Hollywood Studios. I had to sit in my car in the HS parking lot for a while so my phone could charge, and I tried to get Grace to rest, but that didn't happen. When we got there we headed to the Beauty and the Beast show. After that we went to the Frozen Sing-a-Long. Then we had quite a bit of time to kill, so Grace shopped, we ate dinner, and got ice cream. Then we headed to Fantasmic. Grace continued to ask if we could go back to Magic Kingdom to ride more roller coasters and also go on Splash Mountain. Mind you, we had been there from 7:30am-9:30pm, and she was still ready for a party! After Fantasmic, I said, "Do you still want to go back to Magic Kingdom? I'd love to, but I'm so tired, aren't you?" To which she replied, "probably". So we walked out, and I asked her, "So what was your favorite part of our Disney day?" She said, "Everything except what we are doing right now." (Which was leaving). Now this morning? I'M EXHAUSTED!!! I also gave into holding her quite a bit (since I knew she wasn't feeling 100%), therefore my right bicep is so sore today!!

Soooo much fun! I hope the other kids pick Disney days instead of birthday parties. Such awesome memories!

I had a gift card from our Disney rewards that I let her use to buy herself a birthday gift, which she picked the Elsa doll shown in a couple of the pictures above. I had told her we spent all the money, so we weren't going to be able to buy anything else. Well, they were selling popcorn at the show, and she goes, "Mom, I know you have money, I saw all your dollars." So here she is with her $5 box of popcorn.
