| They are in VBS this week, and LOVING it! At the gym yesterday, I ran into the leader for their group, so I asked if they were behaving. She went on and on with compliments of great manners and participating, etc. I was super proud, especially because they are both in the same group, and that CAN indicate mischievousness! But they are doing awesome! They come home singing and dancing with all the songs they are learning. Jack told me all about St. Patrick on Monday. Yesterday when I picked him up I asked him which Saint he could tell me about. He goes, "Mom, just look on the card if you want to know about him." ----well, okay then!---- Each day they get a baggie with different things, and one of the things is a baseball card-type of card with a picture of a Saint on one side, and information on the other. |

| Tavares Splash Park is THE place to be! I could actually sit on the bench in the shade and see everyone. It was only $1 for each person entering. And there was nothing they could get hurt on! Score...I will def. be back this summer. We packed a picnic lunch and headed up there at lunch time, ate, and then played. Great summer fun! |

| One of those perfect MOMENTS where they're all playing together nicely. I love it when that happens! They actually found a bin of toys that they got for Christmas that hadn't been played with since...well, Christmas! It kept them busy for a couple of days. |

| This is the new "nap time" regimen. Erin sleeps in her bed in peace for 2-3 hours while Jack and Grace relax and watch a movie. Everyone wins! They officially have outgrown nap time, and when we were forcing them...it was nothing but trouble. Either Grace was keeping Erin up, making for a miserable evening with Erin. Or on the rare occasion that Jack would zonk out, he would be up until 10PM or later because he wasn't tired at the normal 7:30 bedtime. If we put Jack and Grace together in Jack's room it was nothing but T-R-O-U-B-L-E. You never knew what they might conjole up together! Seriously, if I would list the things they've done together, it would be quite entertaining...and scary. etc. etc. etc. So this works so far! |

| Big girl wears headphones now so she can enjoy the DVDs in the van. (That is for MAYBE 5 minutes before she starts SCREAMING. She isn't a fan of sitting in her carseat these days.) |

| I was shocked that Jack had the order of the rainbow colors accurate. I have no clue how he knows this. I asked him, and he said, "I just looked at a real one." ??? He knows how to spell a handful of words, and I'm impressed with his penmanship. Keep it up, buddy!!! |

| We got stuck in a downpour at the pool at our gym, so we hung out in the locker room until it passed. Very scary, considering the event that occurred last week: Jack: EWWW, Look, Gracie! I see a booty. Woman who was drying off and changing in the locker room who he was referring to: ....................... Me: Jack, this is a locker room. We don't look at people or make comments. Leave her alone. I literally wanted to climb into a locker until she left. I was mortified, beyond words. |

| While the big kids were at VBS, Erin and I went on the trail so I could get my training miles in this morning. She wasn't the happiest camper, as evidenced by the below photo (She has been giving us a run for the money lately! I think we have entered the terrible twos), but she stuck with me! I'm up to $420 in donations so far, which isn't bad at all!! Thank you to those who have gotten me started. Here is the link to my page. |

| Reading buddies. Unrelated, but Jack told me today, "Mommy, you're a really good mommy." It was so sweet. Then tonight as I tucked him into bed I told him he was a pretty good boy today, and he said, "Thank you mommy. I love you." He loves to hear the positive feedback! We've been having some behavioral issues, as he is definitely seeing what he can get away with lately. But he is such a sweet little guy. Lastly, please keep Miss Grace in your prayers. She will be having surgery tomorrow morning to put another set of tubes in and also have adenoids removed. The latter part will add about 20 minutes onto the regular 5 minute tube procedure. It will also make recovery harder. I am dreading it very much, but am trying to focus on the fact that Grace will hear better!! The fluid will be off her ear drums, which will relief pain and pressure. Tonight I went to Body Pump at the gym from 6:30-7:30, and then we made a stop at Steak N Shake. I got the kids strawberry milkshakes so G's belly could be full. She can't eat or drink anything now until after the surgery tomorrow. We will arrive at the surgery center at 8:20AM tomorrow, and the surgery is scheduled for 10:20. PRAYERS FOR OUR SWEET GIRL ARE APPRECIATED!!! |
