Tooth Bud

Grace finally sprouted her first tooth on Thanksgiving night. It's still just a tiny bud, but it broke through. What a big girl!! She did it without any change in her behavior. Still a happy girl. Although she stopped eating her baby food and wants more milk the past several days. Not sure if it's related to teething. She ate several beans tonight at dinner and LOVED them. Maybe she is boycotting the puree?

Thanksgiving Program Video

Colin and Jack had a "Father Son Day" today. Jack and Grace had their Thanksgiving Program and Feast at school. I was so sad to miss it, but very happy that one of us could go and enjoy it! Grace was funny taking off the other kid's turkey hat. Jack was so well behaved just sitting there with his class! Where is that behavior when he is at home!? Enjoy!

Bear with me - this post is all over the place. I took a few more videos that I thought were share worthy.

This is one tonight of (our always entertaining) dinner. Jack was asking for a cookie and Colin was shouting, "nooooo!".

I thought this was so creative, but when I was telling my mom about it, she told me that she showed this to him. I'm still proud that he remembered it and he perseveres until he gets all of the animals.

Here is one from breakfast this morning. You've been warned though, it's not that exciting at all.

And another. I was trying to get Jack to say what he said to me this morning when I got him out of his crib. I said to him, "are you ready to go back to school?" He hasn't been in a couple of weeks. He replied, "no, I stay home."

Now that we are coming up on my baby girl's EIGHTH month (tear), here are some newborn pictures. I remember this one so clearly. Colin had left to go take a shower at home, and I just had Grace laying in the hospital bed with me. It's weird thinking back to that time we spent in the hospital. At the time, I remember I couldn't wait to get out of the hospital and home to start our new normal as a family of four. But looking back, it's such a special time to me. I have the same feelings about the days we spent in the hospital with Jack. Hard to explain, and I know it sounds weird.

She's the sweetest most mellow little baby doll, and she is growing so fast!

Miscellaneous Videos

I have a free second while the babes are napping. I wanted to post some various videos really quick.

Jack is just getting over a double ear infection. I brought Grace to the doctor this morning because she's been having a snotty nose and coughing for a couple of weeks now. She also has an ear infection and is on antibiotics for the first time. :(:(:( So we are just staying in today and getting healthy I hope! I had them check his ears too, and they have completely cleared, so that is a great thing! It's hard to manage them both alone in public, but I must say...Jack was a pretty darn good boy today at the doctor's office!!

"Heh-whoa"

He pretty much has all the colors down pat (although he seemed to struggle with purple in the video). We are working on letters next. I'm hanging up one letter a week in his room. I'm trying to first just teach him to identify all the letters. Right now he has Aa hanging up. He points to it and says A-C-K. I'm assuming because he hears us spell his name, so he is spelling the last 3 letters of JACK. We are still practicing our counting skills. He can count to ten more or less, but usually always skips a number or two. Plus he has to be in the right mood to do it. Stubborn much?

Also his newest thing is telling us he is scared of the dark to avoid nap and bedtime (although he might genuinely be afraid). "I scare dark," he tells us.

Nothing else new to report, so I'll leave you with Thing 1 and Thing 2! Since Thing 2 isn't feeling so hot, she wasn't really too keen on Thing 2 giving her kisses.

Oh my goodness----blogging friends, help me with uploading videos to blogger. I've been trying off and on ALL day literally, and they will not upload. Disney Trip

I just returned home after dropping off my mom, dad, and sister at the airport. I love having them come to visit and cherish the time we get to spend together, but I'm always sad when it comes to an end. :( BUT...we had such fun times and made great memories. It's 8:30, and I'm just now sitting down to eat dinner while blogging. I'm going to mainly just post pictures because I'm tired!

We went to Disney World for the weekend the day after they got here. OHHHHHH, how I love Disney. I've missed it so much! It had been several months since my last visit, and it was fantastic to be back! Can't wait until we can renew our passes (although I'm not sure Colin and I are on the same page on that topic :)... ) I had planned an "express" trip to each of the four parks, going on only a few rides at each one. We didn't get to do everything I had planned, but most of it.

Waiting on The Lion King show to start. I think this was definitely Grace's favorite part of the day. She squealed and kicked the whole time. Jack was very attentive, but didn't show excitement. He sat completely still for the entire half hour though, so I'm thinking he must've enjoyed it.

Jack's first ride on Dumbo. I think this was my favorite part of the day. He was loving it. It was so cold that as we went around, he was waving and his little chin was shivering.

The babies were great despite the chilly weather. And I must admit, as much as I would love to move back to the midwest, I think I can say that I officially am not a fan of the cold!

We stayed at the Fort Wilderness cabins, and I was so looking forward to taking Jack to the campfire party. It started at 7:30, which is right at his bed time. After our cookout, Colin, Courtney, Jack, and I took the golf cart down to where they had the fire. Jack dozed off on Colin right when we got there, so we just left. We got back to the cabin and Gracie was watching Baby Einstein on the iPhone.

We went to the Outlet mall twice. Shopping with Courtney makes me feel like I need to step out of my "plain Jane" ways and get a stylish outfit or two. Somebody help!

We didn't have room for the double stroller in the car with all of their luggage, so more "babywearing". She was squealing and loving being in the Baby Bjorn.

Colin, Courtney, and I got away for a movie night, one of my most favorite things to do. We never get to go to the theater to see movies, so it's always a special treat to go do that. We saw "Due Date' which kept us all laughing!
