Thanksgiving Feast
I took a personal day so I could attend the kids' Thanksgiving feasts and programs Thursday. Grace and Erin had theirs at 10:30, and then Jack's was at 1:00. I ate two feasts! It was a very enjoyable day for me!!! Their school does such a nice job with this annually.
Jack was hard to see, and this might be long and boring because you only see his head poke through. This one is a Spanish song, and he moved so I could see him a little better.
Grace was awesome! It was funny because her teacher told me she never participated during the daily practices. But I had a dad come up to us after the program telling me Gracie was a super star. She was front and center and doing all the songs and dances!
Erin just had a "Pilgrim and Indian Parade". It's very brief!

Disney World
Grandma and I took the kids to Magic Kingdom yesterday. We made some sweet memories, but the day had me stressed to the max. I think we needed at least 2 more adults to manage safely! One for each kid, plus one for the stroller!!! It was incredibly crowded because of the holiday. We did It's a Small World, Buzz Lightyear, a dance party, lunch, a parade, the carousel, and we met Mickey! Jack was super excited to meet him, but he got a little too rough (according to the lady) with Mickey's nose. She had to say something to him, and he was highly embarrassed, so it wasn't the best first Mickey experience for him. We will have to take him back. I would love to take him for his birthday, just him. We will see! They loooooved the parade the best I think. At the end we caught all of the characters, and they were excited to identify all of the ones they knew. Jack has talked about the Buzz ride a lot today too, so I know he really liked that. Erin enjoyed Small World immensely. It was a fun day for all!

Editing to add some new pictures:

A new friend-

Part of the Central Florida Chapter-

I laughed when I saw this one. I distinctly remember running through Hollywood Studios and having this lady hop RIGHT in my track. I had to completely stop to avoid crashing into her. So rude! I hope she's pleased with the picture of herself! She wanted it badly.

Most come here to see pictures of the kids, but I wanted to post about my race yesterday. This week I promise to post pictures and stories of the kiddos.
The entire TNT experience was incredible. From the extremely generous friends and family who donated to my fundraiser, to the hours of training, the inspiration brunch and motivational speaker, the fitness expo, the start line, the race itself, and the finish line party. I would encourage anyone to get involved with Team in Training. It's very touching and meaningful.
I was so so sooooo nervous for the race for some reason (and that's an understatement). Colin and I had a nice kid-free, relaxing day around Disney on Saturday. Shout outs to Kiya for keeping the girls and Kelly for keeping Jack, making it possible for us. I'm thankful for my mom telling me that Colin needed to be at the finish line and brunch, despite the ridiculous price (and then surprising me with tickets for him to be there). I couldn't have done it without him by my side the whole day. He was my cheerleader during the entire race. He had mapped out where he could see me along the way, and drove all over while I was running, just so he could cheer me on (and blow his air horn) for 2 seconds at a time. I literally could not have a more supportive and encouraging person there to get me through.
Some way, some how I managed to run the entire thing. I had trained and planned on stopping for a quick walk every few miles. My phone time says I completed 13.1 miles in 2 hours and 4 minutes.
We enjoyed the finish line party before heading back to the hotel. Once i stopped moving around 3AM, that's when the pain kicked in!!!! My hips and knees --- ouch. I think it will take a few days to recover, but today...I am struggling to walk (more like waddle).
It's hard to describe the emotions I'm feeling after experiencing all of that, but it was amazing.
This is the shirt Colin designed for me to wear. These names pushed me to the end, for sure! Colin had told me before I left that if I'm struggling, just remember why I'm doing it. I especially love the bright orange and that my mom's name was right there for me to see the whole time.

Left Disney property to get an air horn:

Silly poses before leaving:

Meeting the rest of the team in the lobby before heading to the start line:

Finish line party (after we finally found each other - My phone died, and I had to use a stranger's phone to locate Colin.) We got food and/or drinks in Ireland, Germany, Italy, and a cheese place for fondue.

Ouch! "Do I realllllly have to get up to shower?!"

I think this was around 11.5 miles. We were running across the boardwalk, right in front of our hotel:

This was either around mile 2 or 6.5. I remember telling Colin that I was halfway done.:

THANK YOU to everyone who donated, babysat, or helped in any way. I truly appreciate it!

Halloween night was fun. We continued our tradition of carving a pumpkin after dinner then trick or treating. The kids held up for quite a while, making it through our entire neighborhood. Erin was Miss Independent. She wanted to walk on her own and go where she wanted to go. She had a tough time keeping up with the big kids because her costume threw her off balance. Everyone had a fun time. Our neighborhood was filled with trick or treaters. I don't think the kids ever went up to a house without a group. Luckily, we didn't get "tricked" since we were gone the whole time! Jack and Grace weren't into the scary houses at all. Some of the neighbors get really festive! By the time we made it home and bathed them, it was well over an hour past their bedtime, and we had meltdowns. A fun night for all!
