More Fall Fun

Happy Monday Morning! 

We had all kinds of fun at "A Lot of Pumpkins" this morning. We tried to get there as early as possible, so it would at least be slightly chilly for our fall tradition. I bundled up with long pants and my Ugg boots, and Colin and I were laughing because he came out in a t-shirt, and I said, "It's only a high of 79, and that is in the heat of the day!" It was wishful thinking on my part, but we did enjoy a couple hours of chill. It was also a milestone for us, as it was our first time without having to use a stroller. 

Gracie got a wild bone, and tried the smaller version of the zip line. Very shocking, but she loved it. She is our only slightly cautious child, so we were surprised she went through with it. 

Erin LOOOOOVED riding the horse, and went twice.

This was Jack when we got home. He definitely wore himself out!

:) I realize there are a lot of pictures of Erin on horse, but I love them. She was having a blast and thought she was big stuff.

My favorite pictures of the day are of G playing in the hay pile, even though there was a nasty glare that I couldn't escape!

We could not get this one out of the petting zoo! She took multiple trips in there, and she had to make sure each goat got equal amounts of feeding. 

Jack had lots of fun and was on perfect behavior all day.

She was petting this chick multiple times too. I had to tell her to give the other kids a turn.

Posing so nicely for me. Erin fell into a mud puddle within a minute of arriving. Her hands and legs were covered in mud, but it didn't seem to bother her a bit.

 Flashback---

This was before the days of "A Lot of Pumpkins" when we visited Uncle Donald's Farm. We will be doing that next month. Jack was 10 months old, shirt covered in drool ALWAYS! October 2009

Sad I don't have one of all 3 of the kids, but this one is still so sweet of Jack loving on his new 2 month old baby sister. This is the first "A Lot of Pumpkins",  October 2011

It's really hard to believe this was just last year. They all have baby faces still, which is no longer the case!!!!! I remember Jack had to wear that hat and boots because he thought he looked like a cowboy since he knew he'd be riding a horse.  October 2012

We hope everyone is having a great weekend. I'm making an effort to document with pictures every few days. My plan is to spend the time I usually do on Facebook, and put that time into my blog. I posted in the last one that G got the throwing up bug early in the week. Jack got it on Wednesday night, Colin got the flu, then I got the throwing up bug. I started feeling awful after lunch and split my class and hightailed it out of there on Friday afternoon. Thank God I left when I did because when I got home, it wasn't pretty! Thank God for Kelly, who always pulls through for me in an emergency. She came and got my car, picked up the kids from school, and stayed with them until Colin got home from work. She came back the next morning and took them all back to her house so we could rest. It is the absolute worst when Colin and I are both sick, and I really don't know what we would've done!! We all seem to be mostly recovered today, thankfully!!

Yesterday I took Jack and Grace to our church's Fall Festival, which was a blast for them both. I was glad we didn't miss it this year due to viruses!! It was nice to have only the 2 big kids, but I wish Erin could've joined in on the fun. I just didn't have the energy to manage them all, and Colin wasn't well enough to go. Grace said her favorite part was the elephant ride that went around in circles. Jack's favorite part was winning the cake walk game.

































Erin was super excited to wear a jacket!! (since it was a chilly morning) with pockets, mommy!!! yesterday.



Colin was burning brush in our backyard, and the kids have asked to have a fire every night since.

My TNT goal has been raised by $1,000. If I meet it, I'll also be running in the Disney Half Marathon in January, which I'd love! I'm waiting on a $125 company match check from my mom's work and after that I'll be less than $200 from my goal of $3,200, which is absolutely incredible. We are off to "A Lot of Pumpkins" fall fun place in Eustis, which we visit every Oct. and also Dec. for their Christmas festivities. Hoping for some great photo opps there!

Happy Monday

Driving in car, Jack - "Mommy, I want to be a police officer."

Me- "Really? That would scare mommy. There are too many bad guys in the world."

Jack - "I would just stop the cars. I need handcuffs and also a whistle so I could stop the cars. There aren't any bad guys in Florida, mommy!"

(Oh, the innocence!)

The kids had a party, and Jack was in charge of the live entertainment.

Poor G got a tummy bug this weekend, but it passed within 24 hours, thank God.
