Day 3: Disney Cruise

As a Christmas gift, Colin's parents took the entire family on a Disney cruise. We all had a lot of fun, and it went by very fast. I would recommend a Disney cruise over a family vacation to the parks ANY DAY (and that's coming from a huge fan of all Disney parks!). Everything about it, from the food to the service to the cleanliness is outstanding. There is something for all ages to enjoy.
The kids were enthralled with all the fun activities that catered to them. Jack and Grace spent a lot of time in the Oceaneer's Club. They had every fun activity you could think of for the kids - baking, pajama parties, parades, characters, computers, dress up...everything! The day we were at Disney's private island, the kids spent the day at the beach with them. They had a section blocked off and secured for the kids with sand castle making, water, dancing...again, everything a kid could want. Erin went to the nursery quite a bit, too. We got an envelope with pictures of her with Sleeping Beauty and tons of little crafts they did with her.

They lacked sleep in a major way, causing Colin and me to be embarrassed by their poor behavior and table manners. The picture below of G sleeping on the couch occurred within an hour of being home. And for those who don't know my kids, they do not willingly fall asleep. Sleep is not something they enjoy. So you know she was exhausted! But FUN was definitely had by all. We are thankful for the great memories. I didn't take as many pictures as I would've liked to, but here are the ones I did take:

Also, this complimentary lotion is amazing too. I'm not looking forward to it running out. It's the best lotion ever!!

Day 2: Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone. I was surprised to get a flower delivery at work from my very own Valentine this week!! Tonight after baseball, we are having a late (for us) date night to celebrate.








Jack and Grace are both at school today in order to be able to celebrate with their classmates. They were excited for their class parties! Being a teacher, I was all excited to sit down and address valentines with them!! Well, let's just say it didn't go as I had envisioned. Apparently they are still too little! ;)

Day 1: Baseball

Well, I can remember when Jack was an infant and Colin and I would talk about him being in sports, and specifically baseball. To be in the local little league, you have to be 4, so he is finally old enough. He was sooooooooo thrilled to start playing, and so far is having a great time.

Here is a video of him batting and running to second. The assistant coach, shown here, is very peppy and energetic. Colin asked Jack if he liked Coach Joyce, and Jack replied, "Yeah, She's tough, like Papa."

It's keeping us quite busy. He has practice every Monday, Thursday, and Saturday. Then Opening Day is March 2. After that I think he has 3 games a week. His team is the Detroit Tigers. We've bought him cleats (2 pairs), baseball pants, a shirt, a belt, a mitt, balls, a bat, a T, and I'm sure more! LOL Hope he continues to like it! I remember we went all out for soccer a couple of years ago, and he hated it. Baseball is much better, anyway! ;) We've determined that he throws lefty (like he writes), but bats righty.

While our lives are definitely busy and chaotic, we lack a lot of exciting events! I'm nervous about having enough blogging material for every day. If anyone has any suggestions or things that want to read about (other than the obvious day to day life), let me know! I'm taking requests. ;) I'm not one to ever back out of a commitment, so I'll be here with something, even if it is boring!

Behold! I'm going to be back, beginning Wednesday! My Lenten resolutions are:

• 40 Days of Blogging (although, some days may consist only of pictures)
• No Sweets (except maybe one on Sundays and definitely cake on G's birthday!)
• Church EVERY Sunday
