Let me just start by saying WOW, what an enjoyable day Colin and I had today! We dropped the kids off at school around 8, went to Starbucks, came home to get ready, and then were back at the school by 10:00. Erin's program started at 10:30. She did really super! She wasn't singing as loud as she does when she practices at home, but I was just happy she was up there and not crying! Her teacher took a $2!!! donation and made the kids' costumes, which were adorable! This day every year makes me love their school so much!! The teachers are amazing, really. They sincerely care and love every child. It really is remarkable the way they act like the kids are their own!
I'm just going to post all the pictures that I took rather than sorting through them. I think it's funny to see the different expressions.

After the program we headed to the gym for the feast. The food was awesome! Erin ate pretty much everything and then enjoyed part of a piece of chocolate cake and part of a piece of cheesecake. She wasn't happy when it was time for Colin and I to leave and her to go back to class for nap time.
We headed over to TJ Maxx and Michael's in search of some Thanksgiving decor and then to BJs for a turkey, but we only had about a half an hour before we had to be back for the next program. Grace was on stage at 1:00 for her program. Now, I have to admit. Of all the kids, I thought G would eat this up. She loves singing and dancing and being in the spotlight! But I couldn't have been more wrong. She got nervous (as shown with finger in mouth!), and had a worried expression for pretty much the entire show. She never moved a muscle to dance or opened her mouth to sing once. She confessed when I tucked her in tonight, that she was upset because she wanted to sit with us in the "red chairs." We were front and center, so maybe that was bad that she was staring right at us and wanted to be sitting with us. Oh well!
The 3 year olds left the stage, and the 4 year olds came out. We know Jack hates performing, mostly because every year at the VBS culmination he has a screaming fit from embarrassment. But not for this! He LOVED it!!! He came out with a huge smile, and a "HI DADDY!" and never stopped smiling, singing, and dancing the whole time. Soooo adorable! I was such a proud mommy!

After Jack's program, we headed back for feast #2 with both Jack and Grace. I was still full from the first one, but Colin definitely filled another plate for himself. Jack ate a roll and lots of dessert (sigh). Grace ate fairly well, but not as good as Erin. She also had way too much dessert.
