 I ordered the school pictures for all of the kids this year to start keeping on our table. I couldn't resist! I'm still waiting on Jack's because he was sick on picture day, so he had to get his taken on the retake day. 

 More sickies-

 The kids lost Trick or Treating this year, unfortunately. It's a long story, but we ended up dressing up and handing out candy on the front porch. They still had fun. At the end Jack said, "Mom, this was really fun, but trick or treating would've been better." Lesson learned I think!

Happy Veterans' Day!

I've been really practicing and studying up on my photography lately! Usually on days when Colin is on shift, I watch my mindless T.V. shows (speaking of those TV shows - Parenthood...I get so upset every time I hear them say it's the "farewell season". It is such a great show. I wish they could keep it going. And Chicago Fire...They killed off my favorite character, and I keep saying I don't care if I ever watch it again!!) after I get the kids to bed, but nowadays I'm tuning into photography webinars and youtube videos, etc., and I've really picked up a lot of information that way! I've been taking the kids out every chance I can get, so I can practice up. Some are more cooperative than others!

The Fulmers were here for a Disney vacation, so we met up with them for 2 very brief visits. Lots of fun!

 Yay for nice cool weather FINALLY!! We can have lots of outdoor fun now!

We went to Lowe's for their Build and Grow workshop this month. The kids each got to make a wooden firetruck. They enjoyed it thoroughly, especially Jack. He kept saying, "man, that was fun!"

We are the "cmapen famule" aka the camping family. I'm at the table enjoying a drink by myself, he said. 

This is how we found them one night recently--all snuggled up in Jack's bed together.

They were making Aunt Court some birthday cards this weekend. I love watching Jack's writing improve!
