Fall Fun

We headed to a place called "Uncle Donald's Farm" today. They had lots for us to enjoy - animals to see and pet, pumpkins, a hay ride, and other fall festivities. We are absolutely LOVING this break from the hot, humid summer days. The weather was so perfect today with lots of sunshine but cooler air. We loved it! Jack really loves animals. I'm sure we will be back next year! I took lots of pictures and, once again, didn't want to leave any out. I'm pretty much posting them all. Enjoy ---

Anyone know how I can photoshop out the drool on his shirt? I have some great pictures that I would love to get printed and framed, but his shirt is soaked in all of them!

Loving everything there is to do at Uncle Donald's Farm.

And...when we left to go back home, the car wouldn't start. The battery was dead. Luckily a nice man was able to jump it, and then we got a new battery on the way home. This is Jack playing in the car while we were waiting and waiting on someone who could help us.

We finally made it home and opened all of our windows up. I cooked white chili, corn bread, and banana bread. AND Purdue beat Ohio State. What a GREAT day!!!!!

9 Month Stats

We took Jack to his 9 month well visit last week, but I haven't had a chance to update the blog since then. I'm sure this post will take me several hours because I'll have to leave and come back so many times. He is ALL OVER THE PLACE!!! His height was 29 1/2 inches, which was in the 90th percentile. His weight was 21 pounds 15 ounces, which falls under the 75th percentile. The doctor said everything looks very healthy, and she commented on what a happy boy he is. He had to get a finger prick to check his iron level as well as one shot. He didn't cry for either of them, so that was GREAT!

We moved our house around this weekend. The old office is now our guest room. The old guest room is now the new baby's room (which in 2 weeks we will be able to say he or she), our dining room table is in our kitchen nook, and our old dining room is now our office. It actually turned out looking really nice. We got the new crib set up in the baby's room. Now all I have to do is tackle the closet, which is full of maternity clothes, wedding pictures, bins of sweaters that I can't part with, etc.). I felt very accomplished yesterday. Colin and I had the whole rearranging project completed by about 10:30. Tomorrow he is going to work on the things that were hanging on the walls.

Jack has been imitating everything lately! When we were putting the crib together, he was crawling around on the floor with his toothbrush. All of the sudden he got on Colin's lap and started brushing his teeth for him! He also imitates yawns, coughs, sneezes, and tons of words. When he gets done taking a drink he likes to do the "ahhh" sound. He will do just about anything to make you laugh.

Colin had to work overtime on Saturday, so Jack and are were all over the place running errands. We were walking in to Office Depot when a storm started coming in. It wasn't raining but a huge gust of wind blew. He put both hands on his head and started laughing because he could feel his hair blowing.

Jack's First Haircut - 10/4/09

We took Jack to the barber shop on Main Street USA at Magic Kingdom today for his first hair cut. I took a lot of pictures, but couldn't narrow it down to just a few, so I'm posting them all.

Here is Jack when he just sat down. The first thing his barber did was put Mickey stickers all over him. A perfect trick, kept Jack occupied the entire time.
